The Healey Education Foundation (Healey) invests in the sustainability and growth of Catholic schools. Healey has developed a new business model based on the best practices from independent schools and universities to provide training, coaching, and consulting services to individual schools and archdiocesan leadership. This approach uses a unique model of advancement that is focused on board governance, enrollment management, development and communications.

Healey is committed to “helping schools help themselves” by providing resources and skills to empower schools to fund their many needs, strengthen their enrollment, and build a community among their supporters, thus enabling schools to be sustained and ultimately flourish. As their current work across several dioceses demonstrates, by working from the bottom up – in the schools – and the top down – with archdiocesan leadership – Healey can affect positive change and help Catholic schools regain their footing and thrive anew.

The Director of Schools provides training and coaching services to Catholic elementary schools by assessing, planning and directing school advancement programs based on the vision, mission and guiding principles of Healey. The Director of Schools core responsibilities are focused on the implementation of the Healey Advancement Methodology in each of the client schools. The advancement methodology includes the functional areas of enrollment management, development, governance and strategic planning, and communications. The Director of Schools must have and develop general expertise in all areas of the methodology and must be a functional expert in at least two of the areas. The areas of greatest importance for the incumbent are enrollment management and development.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five (5) years broad-based experience in institutional advancement with specific experience in annual giving, major gift fundraising, communications, school marketing, alumni and Board relations. The successful candidate will have proven success in building relationships, demonstrated leadership and effectiveness developing organizational and financial goals and outstanding communications skills. Candidates must have an understanding and commitment to Catholic education, specifically to the mission of the Healey Education Foundation. Bachelor’s degree required, must be able and willing to travel particularly to the various schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and to the Mount Laurel, NJ offices of the Healey Education Foundation as needed.
