Program Manager of Adult Day Supports – Home and Community Habilitation

Programs Employing People, a Philadelphia nonprofit providing Education, Jobs and Community supports to individuals with intellectual disabilities seeks a Program Manager to oversee the facility based Adult Day Program and Community Based – Home and Community Habilitation Services.

The successful candidate will manage a licensed facility based adult day program designed to provide training and supports in skills of daily living, community access and engagement, volunteerism for adults with intellectual disability through a Community Based Instruction format. Work in conjunction with Service Coordination / Case Management to ensure staff implement goals and objectives consistent with the individual service plans. Work with other program managers and senior staff in advancing progressive individualized program options for program stakeholders. Provide direct support staff with quality supervision and training on progressive program models.

The manager will also work directly with the Program Services Director on the conversion of facility based ATF services to a program of individual supports in community based settings in the unlicensed Home and Community Habilitation (HCH) program. The HCH program offers consumers of service fully integrated community based supports from their homes supported by PEP staff that supports full utilization of their immediate and extended community resources for structured learning and skill acquisition.

Position requirements: BA/BS in human service related field, Masters preferred. 5 years of progressive experience in supporting individuals with disabilities in community based programs. Broad knowledge of PA Department of Human Services / Office of Developmental Program Waiver services and knowledge of 2380 ATF regulations and Chapter 11 Older adult living center regulations. Demonstrated knowledge of/or direct experience in alternative community based supports systems. Computer literacy with Microsoft products, demonstrated good communication skills with stakeholders and families.
