Program Director: Weaver’s Way Community Programs

Job Requirements: WWCP seeks an innovative and energetic Program Director (PD). S/he will supervise program staff and assist them in attaining organizational and programmatic goals; collaborate with community and program partners; and evaluate programs. The PD must be able to work independently, think creatively, solve problems, and make decisions in accordance with established policies, as well as be able to develop standards, analyze information, deal with complexity, and clearly report research results and program impact. S/he must have demonstrated success in non–‐profit program development or administration (minimum 2 years experience). The PD must have experience supervising staff and directing volunteers; developing and managing partnerships; and collecting/analyzing data. Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and organizational skills are required, including attention to detail and deadlines. Desired, but not required, experience may include background in farming, nutrition, education, or curriculum development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to program staff, including supervision, development, and resource sharing
  • Ensure programs are delivered with the highest level of quality; are aligned with the organization’s mission and goals; produce strong quantitative and qualitative results; and meet or exceed grant outcomes
  • Develop and maintain evaluation mechanisms for grant reporting purposes and internal benchmarking; through on–‐going data collection and analysis, demonstrate program impact and effectiveness, as well as identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies in service delivery
  • Plan and coordinate logistics associated with farm education programs/visits including registration/scheduling, communication with farm educators, and invoicing/payment collection
  • Implement relevant aspects of the WWCP strategic plan, which may include development of new programs or the growth/expansion/modification of existing programs
  • Pursue relevant opportunities to partner with local, regional, and national organizations & networks
  • Provide content for marketing collateral, including website and social media, to support and promote WWCP programs
  • Participate in creation of annual program budgets and monitor programmatic expenses
  • Serve as staff liaison to the Program Committee of the WWCP Board of Directors
  • Assist the Executive Director where needed.

Job Particulars:

40 hours/week (occasional evenings and weekends)
