Membership Manager: Please Touch Museum

Please Touch Museum (the Children’s Museum of Philadelphia) seeks a Membership Manager who is responsible for managing the recruitment, acknowledgement, renewal, and stewardship of museum members.

Essential Functions are, but not limited to: primary responsibility is to measure and test effectiveness of membership marketing strategies; proactively establish new membership incentives and programs; monitors all membership promotion; manage maintenance of membership database; prepare all membership lists for in house and outside distribution; serves as the responsible party working with consultants on membership acquisition strategies and provides reports tracking progress; process all new and renewal memberships from on-line, admission sales, phone sales, and mail-in channels through Raisers Edge; manage all in house membership mailings and mailings through mail house service; handle all telephone and web inquiries; implement bi-monthly meetings with other departments; manage all member activities and special events; maintain event budgets and other event logistics; prepare and reconcile monthly financial reports; and  responsible for inventory and purchasing of all membership related materials.

Requirements are: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on Communications, Museum Communications or related fields; minimum 3 years development and membership administrative related experience; strong writing and presentation skills; experience with Raisers Edge strongly preferred; membership and development knowledge required; fundraising abilities for member events; excellent database skills required; advanced time and event management skills; demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment; able to work independently; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; highly organized and able to multi-task with ease; demonstrates excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation and commitment to the mission of the museum; and must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
