The Data Coordinator is responsible for working with the Head Start management team to develop, produce, and analyze reports on the compliance and performance of the Philadelphia Head Start Partnership (PHSP). The Data Coordinator develops and implements systems to collect and utilize data to ensure the quality of program operations. The Data Coordinator supports PHSP in quality assurance efforts by monitoring trends in administrative and child outcomes data to ensure program goals are met. This position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations, ECE and works closely with all other members of the PHSP management team, the ChildWare development team, and the PHMC Information Systems department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
•Produce standard reports on a predetermined schedule and ad hoc reports as needed
•Create and maintain organizational documents, protocols and functions in conjunction the database administrators of all data repositories utilized by PHSP staff
•Compile and complete weekly, monthly and quarterly data & outcome reports including progress towards program goals and key performance measures
•Analyze internal and external outcomes data, key performance measures against state and national best practices and facilitate staff understanding of the meaning of findings for quality improvement
•Ensure the consistency and accuracy of data across all data repositories
•Perform regular audits of child records to review for accuracy and timeliness of activities and data entry
•Make recommendations to remediate concerns related to data integrity
•Present Head Start performance data to management team, staff, and other stakeholders as necessary
•Train and support PHSP staff on ChildWare and data reporting expectations
•Perform as the PHMC Information Systems and ChildWare contact for PHSP and assigns administrative rights to new staff members in various databases
•Participate in professional development to augment his/her own skills and to support the work of PHSP
•Support the completion of program and community assessments
•Collaborate with PHSP staff to monitor and sustain funded enrollment level, over-income and waiting lists at individual sites and analyze enrollment data to inform the planning process
•Collaborate with PHSP staff to analyze causes of absenteeism to prevent daily attendance falling below 85%
•Work with Site Directors to generate and document in-kind and other allowable costs applied to non-federal share requirement
•Data entry as needed
•All other duties as assigned

•Proficient with MS Office

Organizational Relationships:
The Data Coordinator reports to and is supervised by the Director of Operations, ECE. The position is full time, 100% FTE.

Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, education, public health, human services, business administration or similar field — Master’s degree preferred
•Minimum two years of technical work experience required
•Experience with childcare, education, or health data management information systems required
•Experience with child assessment data desired

Other Requirements:
•This job includes the normal physical demands associated with office work including bending, lifting, and carrying.
•This position may include the need to attend weekend or evening meetings or trainings and might involve travel
