Grants Manager: Congreso de Latinos Unidos, Inc.

Congreso de Latinos Unidos, Inc. is currently seeking a Programmatic Grants Manager within Congreso’s administration division. The Programmatic Grants Manager will work closely with the Chief Programmatic Officer and Division’s Vice Presidents to establish and achieve fundraising goals for the divisions in the areas of foundations and government support. This position has responsibility for managing and executing annual strategy and development plans through, prospecting for new opportunities and submission, management and oversight of the agency development database, and research.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and supervision to grant writing
  • Monitor progress against fundraising goals and regularly produce reports
  • Oversee the management of databases and all records, files and gift processing using Congreso’s donor database
  • Collaborate with the agency’s Fiscal Department to reconcile records
  • Guide prospecting activities and make recommendations for new funding streams
  • Oversee record-keeping systems on grants submitted, funded, denied
  • Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with local and national foundations
  • Write template proposals and “letters of intent” (LOIs) for Vice Presidents
  • Creates and maintain forms and templates necessary to support and facilitate the grant development process
  • Creates a calendar of grant application deadlines and follows up on grants submitted
  • Utilize Sage database to track funder prospects, profiles, and interaction
  • Collaborate across divisions with program Managers on various projects and initiatives including fundraising events as necessary
  • Participate in meetings with management team to help develop an innovative yet realistic strategy for raising funds as related to the different programmatic gaps

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Social Sciences, English, Anthropology, Communications, or related field. Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or Non-profit Administration preferred
  • 5+ years leadership experience in strategic development, institutional public affairs, fundraising, grant writing & administration in a non-profit setting
  • Familiarity with social services and the Latino community are also a plus
