Major Gifts Officer: Woodlynde School

Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the officer is responsible for:

  • An ongoing portfolio of approximately 100 major gift prospects
  • Prospect qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship through a strategic, organized, and well-executed moves management plan, including face-to-face contacts of 10 or more visits per month
  • Building relationships and donations in support of Woodlynde School’s unique mission
  • Coordination of an effective prospect management system, including recommendations for volunteer and administration engagement
  • Creative and compelling written and personal presentations that pair donor interests with school programs and projects
  • Commitment to confidentiality in all endeavors

Preferred candidates will have:

  • 3-5 years of proven success in the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts, preferably in in an educational environment
  • Impeccable and engaging interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A strong degree of initiative, problem-solving skills, and flexibility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelors Degree and experience with Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud Analytics, and Microsoft Office or equivalent programs required
  • Travel is mostly regional, and candidates should have the ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed
