Programming Event Manager: Kimmel Center, Inc.

Essential functions:

·         Serve as main point of contact for all visiting artists and their staff.

·         Advance and fulfill all aspects of artist agreements and riders, including hotel, travel, hospitality, security and other requirements, and communicate all requirements to Kimmel Center staff.

·         Act as main Kimmel Center contact on the day of shows, serving as liaison between artists and Kimmel Center staff.

·         Perform engagement settlements with touring managers.

·         Track event expenses, and maintain relationship with 3rd party vendors including local hotel, catering and ground transportation companies.

·         Coordinate merchandise sales and settlements for all presentations.

·         Provide support to the director of Broadway Programming and Co-Promotions.

Requirements:

·         Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the performing arts with direct artist contact

·         Associates degree or higher preferred

·         Knowledge of MS Excel is essential for the position. Proficient in Word, Outlook, and MS Office.

·         Conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tact are essential

·         Non-traditional hours are required and could include extended hours per day depending upon performance schedules.
