College Possible Philadelphia is at the point in its evolution of transitioning to new leadership. The next Executive Director will be responsible for securing funding, building board relationships, and serving as spokesperson for the organization.  S/he will be building partnerships and coalitions with foundations, community members, schools and civic leaders. The Executive Director will demonstrate a passion for issues facing low-income students, provide leadership for advocacy and education, conduct fundraising, and ensure the financial viability of the organization. Based in the Philadelphia office, s/he will supervise full time staff and work closely with the national support team.

College Possible is a dynamic national non-profit organization dedicated to coaching low-income students to and through college, breaking the cycle of poverty, and empowering our workforce.

College Possible has a rigorously tested model which earns top-of-field results; students are ten times more likely to become college graduates. A 2011 Harvard study found that the program more than doubles a student’s chances of enrolling in a four-year college. College Possible has a budget of nearly $20 million, over 100 full-time employees and more than 250 AmeriCorps and VISTA service members. During the 2016-17 school year, College Possible is serving 30,000 students in 62 partner high schools and over 350 college campuses.

Headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, College Possible currently serves students in Minnesota, WI, Portland, OR, Omaha, NE, Chicago, IL and Philadelphia, PA. To learn more, please visit: www.collegepossible.org.

The Executive Director will lead all fundraising and community outreach efforts, while partnering closely with a Local Advisory Board to ensure the organization exceeds fundraising and programmatic goals.
