Communications & Development Director: Briar Bush Nature Center

Briar Bush’s Communications & Development Director position offers a self-directed, organized mission driven individual an opportunity to work in a positive, mission-driven environment. The position works on behalf of the Nature Center which is primarily funded through the municipality. The CDD is responsible for external communications and messaging, membership, and also directs fundraising (in concert with the ED). We have a small shop which allows for tight integration of messaging. Our team is very supportive of each other and has strong systems in place.

Qualifications:

Mission alignment. Minimum of two years of experience in public relations, preferably in the nonprofit arena.  Ability to maintain strong member and public communications. Demonstrated ability to manage databases and electronic media technology. Must have a working knowledge of InDesign and/or Photoshop.   Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.   Proven ability and demeanor to interact gracefully with donors, patrons, and members. This is a full-time exempt position.  Annual salary range is commensurate with experience.  The position includes very generous benefits: health, leave pension, tuition reimbursement and more.
