Program Manager: Coded by Kids

Coded by Kids seeks a talented, detail-oriented Program Manager for its Philadelphia and southern New Jersey-based tech education programs. This full-time, salaried position will oversee and coordinate program staff and activities for multiple programs, ensuring the day-to-day success and quality. The ideal candidate has experience managing youth programs and has an interest in education, technology, and/or economic development.

1. Responsibilities.

The Program Manager is the first point of contact for program partners and customers. Reporting directly to the COO, the Program Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Creating, coordinating, managing program and staff schedules.
  • Supervising and providing guidance to program staff.
  • Managing program budgets.
  • Developing deadlines.
  • Managing and mitigating program risks.
  • Resolving program issues.
  • Working with external partners and customers to plan, coordinate and execute program logistics and deliverables.
  • Preparing program reports to communicate the status of the programs they manage.
  • Visit program sites in PA & NJ to evaluate program quality and work with partners to resolve issues

2. Qualifications.

  • Required
    • At least 1-year of experience managing programs for a school, nonprofit, or similar organization
    • Experience creating schedules and managing program budgets
    • Knowledge of project management tools and processes, such as Trello and Asana
    • Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral
    • Ability to work cooperatively and to communicate successfully with diverse groups and individuals necessary.
    • Ability to obtain all required clearances (state and federal criminal history, PA child abuse clearance)
    • Reliable transportation
  • Desired
    • Education and/or experience equivalent to a 2 or 4-year degree
    • Experience or in education, youth programs, or similar
    • Experience with data tracking and reporting
    • Interest in education, technology, and/or economic development

3. Salary and Benefits.

Salary range between $45,000 – $52,000, commensurate with experience.
