Managing Director: ACLAMO Family Centers

The Managing Director is a senior strategist and lead organizational director who works closely with the Executive Director and the Director of Operations to ensure that the organization runs effectively and efficiently. An ideal candidate will be highly organized, a strong and proactive communicator and a leader with previous experience in management. The Managing Director is responsible for the following essential functions:

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision

  • Provide leadership, direction and supervision to Lead Community Health Worker, Social Services Program Director, and Health & Wellness Manager
  • Oversee Health & Wellness and Social Services departments
  • Coach, mentor and counsel members of the organization and answer questions or give advice to staff members as needed
  • Identify and coordinate training and professional development opportunities for Health & Wellness and Social Services departments
  • Organize and work with all staff and volunteers for program events

Development and Strategy

  • Participate in organizational strategy and planning with Executive Director and Board of Directors
  • Research grant, donor and sponsorship opportunities for all operations and programs
  • Submit applications for grants with the approval of the Executive Director
  • Coordinate and manage all assigned special events including annual fundraising and projects

Reporting

  • Gather data and reports from department directors to prepare outcome measurement and impact analysis of programs and to recommend adjustments to programs
  • Communicate frecuently with the Executive Director on the status of programs

Human Resources

  • Recruit, screen, and orient applicants for all positions in the organization
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for applicants including references, background checks, child abuse clearances and any other legal
  • Interview and set up interviews between staff and potential Present candidates to ED for final decision.
  • Maintain and update new employee packets annually

Marketing

  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals, including channels such as Houzz, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and any other new social media
  • Ceate marketing materials, flyers, signage and complete necessary translations of any document

Responsible for monthly newsletter creation and annual report

General

  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
  • Ensure accrediting, licensing, and compliance with all applicable agencies and regulations
  • Attend all ACLAMO staff meetings, field trips and trainings
  • Attend all Board of Directors meetings
  • Represent organization at meetings and events
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum of master´s degree in business administration, accounting, financial or human services from an accredited college or university, or
  • Bachelor´s degree in business administration, accounting, financial or human services from an accredited college or university, combined with 5-10 years of supervisory and management experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through in a timely manner
  • Proficient in microsoft word, outlook, excel, and power
  • Work with a variety of data management using standardized methods and job-related equipment including ability to enter and track client’s
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal
  • Strong communicator, both written and
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills
  • Believe in the academic potential and human growth of all students
  • Be a passionate supporter of ACLAMO’s mission, vision and programs

Special Notes:

  • Must have and maintain a valid drivers’ license, automobile insurance and daily access to an automobile and cell phone
  • This position requires visual and auditory acuity and the physical ability to climb stairs, stand for long periods of time, walk distances, and lift or carry up to 20
  • Must obtain the following certifications and clearances:
    • Report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police
    • Child Abuse History Certification from the Department of Human Services

Fingerprint based federal criminal history submitted through the Pennsylvania State Police or its authorized agent.
