Vice President of External Affairs: Maternity Care Coalition

Maternity Care Coalition (MCC), a dynamic nonprofit, works to improve maternal and child health and well-being through the collaborative efforts of individuals, families, providers and communities.

MCC seeks an experienced Senior Leader as Vice President of External Affairs, as part of the Executive Team responsible for strategy and management of new business development; fund development; public policy & government relations; public relations; marketing and communications; and volunteer recruitment and management. The VP of External Affairs will be responsible for building and leveraging strategic partnerships with academic and research organizations, health care institutions and managed care organizations, and other key community organizations and partners to achieve MCC’s growth and sustainability objectives.

Qualified candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred with a minimum of eight to ten years of progressive related work experience in Development, Government Affairs, Marketing and Communications, preferably in the nonprofit sector including leadership and staff supervision. Demonstrated revenue generation track record essential as well as entrepreneurial thinking needed to develop and execute strategic and effective advancement strategies. Knowledge of the Philadelphia region and relevant partners and key stakeholders desirable.
